Razer Releases BlackShark V2 Gaming Headset.

Razer Releases BlackShark V2 Gaming Headset.

The Razer BlackShark V2 is a primarily metal construction, with a headband covered in a soft foam cushion wrapped in a mesh fabric. Razer has just released two new models of the BlackShark V2 gaming headset model, and these headset models follow the original model released in 2012. Of the two models, the $ 99.99 BlackShark V2 has more features, while the $ 59.99 BlackShark V2 X is a slightly less options model.

Important features are a knob for changing left ear cup volume, and a 3.5mm cable for cross-compatibility with PCs and consoles. Also the button is given to mute the headset. There's a big price difference between this BlackShark V2 model and the BlackShark V2 X because of the USB sound card that comes with the BlackShark V2 model. This sound card can be connected directly to the 3.5mm port on the headset.

The EQ feature that comes with this USB sound card can equalize our microphone and adjust the voice to the tone we like. You can also adjust the EQ settings of this sound card in Razer's Synapse 3 software as well as THX's spatial audio integration. According to Razer, the USB sound card is not available separately in the market.

Razer has created THX game-specific profiles for their USB sound card. Because of this we can get a good gaming experience while using this USB sound card. According to Razer, these headsets support a lot of games, including Destiny 2, Valorant, Doom Eternal, Call of Duty: Warzone, Half-Life: Alyx, Metro Exodus, and Red Dead Redemption 2. They also hope to make it support for more games in the future.

The ear pads on these headsets look better than the soft SHS breathable ear pads on the BlackShark V2 model and the leather-like ear pads on the BlackShark V2 X model. Cardioid microphone take care of the noise-cancellation in both of these headsets, but only the BlackShark V2 model has the ability to remove its microphone.

Razer has upgraded their latest "TriForce" 50mm drivers to both headsets so we can clearly distinguish between low, medium and high-frequency. Razer claims that their high-end headset has titanium-coated drivers, which creates a lot of good clarity and less distortion.
